Synopsis

Buku ini berjudul ”Keterampilan Berpikir Matematika”. Buku ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk dapat menambah bahan ajar bagi Dosen dan menjadi acuan perkuliahan bagi mahasiswa calon guru matemtika khususnya di di Program Studi Tadrsi Matematika FTIK UIN Prof. K.H. Saifuddin Zuhri Purwokerto. Isi buku ajar ini secara luas menguraikan aspek-aspek kognitif yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Aspek kognitif sebagai bagian dari kemampuan berpikir matematika menguraikan berbagai jenis ranah pengetahuan yang berperan penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Beberapa negara dengan prestasi akademik tinggi dalam bidang matematika menekankan aspek kognitif tertentu dalam pembelajaran matematika. Misalkan di Singapura, pembelajaran matematika menekankan pada kemampuan pemecahana masalah matematika. Negara Jepang pembelajaran matematika mendukung adanya pengembangan berpikir kreatif siswa. Di Indonesia sendiri pembelajaran matematika mengarah pada pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi atau Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). Apabila kita melihat karakteristik HOTS maka ditemukan adanya irisan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kreativitas matematika.
